Two separate versions of Lois, her pre-Zero Hour and post-Zero Hour self are taken to Convergence by Brainiac and Telos and are trapped for a year. Her per-Zero Hour self encounters Superman of Earth-22 and Pre-Zero Hour Superboy. She is accidentally injured when Superboy smashes a rock over Superman's head and is hit by a fragment. She is rushed to the hospital by Earth-22 Wally West.
Meanwhile, at some point after the Reign of the Doomdsays, Clark impregnated Lois with his child and they travelled to Gotham City. Unfortunately, the villain Brainiac stole Gotham City and put it under the custody of Telos the Living Planet. The dome also causes all superhumans to lose their powers, including Clark. During the course of a year, Clark fights crime in Gotham as a masked vigilante with Lois' help. The dome around Gotham disappears and Clark regains his powers, enabling him to be Superman again. While Superman goes off to explore the land beyond Gotham's outskirts, Lois suddenly encounters the Superman of the Flashpoint universe, who insists Lois to come with him. The alternate Superman takes Lois to the Batcave of the alternate Batman. Fortunately, her Superman takes out his alternate self and convinces Batman to help him deliver their son. After a few hours, Lois gives birth to a healthy boy and the new parents name him Jonathan Samuel Kent.
Unfortunately, a chain of events puts all of reality in danger, so Booster Gold and his allies release the only person who can stabilize the multiverse: Brainiac. Coming to regret his evil deeds, Brainiac attempts to save reality but he cannot do that unless a group of heroes travels to the past and prevents the First Crisis from happening in the first place. Supergirl, the Flash and Hal Jordan accept that mission, and Superman and his family come along to help them. The actions of Lois and her friends are unknown, but their efforts in averting the First Crisis are successful and ensure the rebirth of the multiverse, after which she, Superman and Jonathan returned to Earth and resumed their lives.
After arriving on Prime Earth, Lois and Clark had to hide their identities since there was already another version of themselves on the parallel world. They changed their last names to White, and raised their son Jonathan in the new world. Lois worked as the mysterious Author X, writing about Intergang. They kept their son in the blind, but he caught on. When they were both tied up in a burning room, he questioned her about why Superman looked so much like his father and why the woman that exposed Superman looked so much like her. She explained it and showed him a scrapbook of her Superman working in the shadows without anyone seeing him.
After the apparent death of Superman of Prime Earth, Clark and Lois take over their counterparts' places. However, a mysterious, sinister and apparent human Clark Kent appears, claiming that he is the real Clark Kent. That Clark Kent turns out to be Mister Mxyzptlk, who was imprisoned by Mister Oz and seeks to punish Superman for not rescuing him. Mxy also reveals that Clark and Lois were split when the Post-Flashpoint reality was born. During the ensuing battle, Pre-Flashpoint Clark and Lois merge with their Post-Flashpoint selves, and the timeline becomes unified.
