After the events with the Omega Titans, there were some huge ramifications. Apparently, magic is now broken. Zatanna has been approached by Wonder Woman, whom wants to form a new team, especially members whose specialties are operating with magic. Zatanna makes it clear that she has no interest in joining her new team. Zatanna finds Swamp Thing contemplating in front of Colu's Tree of Wonder. Zatanna had hoped she would find answers in her father's old books in order to regain her magic. Her father appears in her head and warns her of the coming threat called Upside Down Man. Following her meeting with Zatanna, Wonder Woman was disappointed the conversation didn't have a positive outcome. However, with the help of Detective Chimp and Man-Bat, she finds relief in order to find answers. Nevertheless, it seems that both Zatanna and Swamp Thing will be joining the team, since Zatanna was forewarned regarding the upcoming threat.
